Norfolk County Council

Norfolk County Council is committed to welcoming film and television productions to the region and strengthening the area’s growing screen sector. To support this ambition, the Council has contracted Norfolk Screen as the official Film Office for the county. The UK’s Film and TV industries continue to expand, with combined film and high‑end television production spend reaching £6.8 billion in 2025. The Film Office provides a dedicated mechanism for Norfolk County Council and its partners to understand the full potential of targeted investment both financial and through coordinated local authority support. It will act as an integrated office working closely with public sector agencies, the private screen industry, and related organisations to maximise opportunities for production, skills development, and economic growth across Norfolk.

Film Offices UK

We are proud to be a Film Offices UK member (FO:UK) which is formed of publicly-funded Film Offices and agencies across the UK and provides a forum which allows the group to share best practice and knowledge as well as discuss industry trends.

Established in August 2013, members of FO:UK regularly meet to share information and ideas which ensures the best possible service is given to the Film and TV industry in the areas committed to providing dedicated support.

British Film Institute

The BFI is the UK’s lead organisation for film, television and the moving image. It is a distributor of National Lottery funding and a cultural and educational charity that:

Royal Television Society: East

The Royal Television Society is an educational charity promoting the art and science of television across the nations and regions of the UK.

At RTS East we celebrate the fantastic work in television and broadcast industries coming out of the East of England: from Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex to Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire. We run a programme of networking events, talks with industry figures, masterclasses and awards throughout the year.

We are committed to supporting students and early career professionals in the industry and have good links with colleges and universities across the region.

Our Committee is comprised of volunteer RTS members, each with extensive experience in the creative industries.

We are delighted to be a Friend of Norfolk Screen in support of the fantastic work they do to promote Norfolk as a film friendly production destination, as well as championing and creating opportunities for emerging and existing talent based in the region.

ScreenSkills

ScreenSkills is the industry-led skills body for the screen industries – film, television (including children’s, unscripted and high-end), VFX, animation and games.

Funded by industry contributions to the Skills Funds and with National Lottery funds awarded by the BFI as part of its Future Film Skills strategy to help people get into the industry and progress within it.

Their work includes: Identifying skills gaps and shortages; providing careers information; mapping and quality-marking professional  pathways to improve entry-level diversity and work readiness including apprenticeships and ScreenSkills Select which identifies college and university courses relevant to a career in screen and supporting development at every stage of a professional career in screen including through mentoring and offering bursaries.
