Craig has been involved in the Film industry since 2013 and had overseen the development and growth of the Norwich Film Festival from 2016 to early 2020. He was responsible for overseeing the Festival gain its charitable status in 2017. His work supported the Festival receiving a BAFTA Shorts Qualifying title in 2019 and a BIFA Shorts Qualifying title in 2017. During his tenure at the Festival, with the support of his amazing team, the submissions of short films have grown substantially, many of which have gone on to win / or be nominated for BIFA’s, BAFTA’s & Oscars.
Craig was also responsible for recruiting industry judges for the Festival which include: Stephen Fry, Alfred Molina, Neve Campbell, Dexter Fletcher, Stephen Woolley, Michael Sheen, Andrea Gibb, Emma Freud etc. Further to this he also secured Patron’s for the Festival which included Olivia Colman, Stephen Fry, Julian Jarrold, Brian Cox, John Collee and Hugh Jackman – who became a Friend of The Festival.
Craig also has evident experience in organising high profile events for the benefit of local filmmakers and the general public, which have included the attendance of famous faces such as Michael Palin, Juliet Stevenson, Christopher Eccleston, David Morrissey, Jane Horrocks, Joe Cornish, Jessica Stevenson etc.. and has hosted numerous industry sessions/panels and screenings in collaboration with national bodies such as BAFTA, Screen Skills, Creative England, Channel 4’s Random Acts, BBC Ideas etc…
Craig launched Norfolk Screen in collaboration with Claire Chapman to help champion the screen sector for Norfolk.
Craig is a voting member with the British Independent Film Awards (BIFA) and served as Shorts Screener for the 2022 Tribeca Film Festival..
