Where To Begin?

Thinking about a career in TV and film? Getting into such a competitive industry can be tough. Here at Norfolk Screen we are committed to creating an environment in Norfolk that allows the film industry to thrive. This means developing the skills, interest, understanding and enthusiasm that will allow it to do so. Therefore we wanted to use this space to share information around opportunities.

There are a range of national pathways to explore and a brilliant starting place is ScreenSkills. This is a fantastic service that provides you with all the necessary information and opportunities around training, careers and skills required. They also provide an excellent overview on available career paths in the film & broadcast industries.

Norfolk also hosts two of the most outstanding Universities in the Country that focus on Film Studies and Film Productions. Why not visit the University of East Anglia and The Norwich University of Arts for further information. Norfolk also offers several colleges that also provide film courses including City College, West Anglia College and East Norfolk 6th Form.

The Sir John Hurt Trust based at Cinema City Norwich, also runs a variety of Educational events along with offering an opportunity to nurture local talent through its Nurturing Filmmakers programme. Further information can be found here.
