Event Link: Norfolk Open Doors – Event – ScreenSkills (THIS EVENT HAS NOW ENDED)

At a time when the screen industry is booming both in terms of viewing hours and volume of production in the UK, Norfolk Screen in collaboration with Screenskills is here to shine a spotlight on the opportunities and discuss the challenges of working on Film & TV productions in the region.

This event is aimed at those who are looking to work in Film & TV in Norfolk and are based in the Norfolk region.

We are convening a panel of Norfolk based industry practitioners, some of whom regularly crew up for their productions to talk about:

  • the content they produce
  • the roles and frequency they look to recruit locally
  • how to find out about opportunities to work with them
  • what skills are they looking for and what are the skills gaps
  • the value they place on transferable skills

Film & TV productions need a wide range of skills and levels of experience. This event is open to all those based in Norfolk.

You could have valuable transferrable skills from experience in other sectors such as painting, construction, lighting, electrics, make-up, stylist, logistics and locations, Health and Safety, accounting or catering.

Equally, you could have recently finished your studies at a college or university in Norfolk, or still be a student in the Norfolk area.

The event will take the format of a hosted conversation with time for the audience to ask questions.
